Manufacturing Technician / Production Engineer (Fixed Term Contract) Location: LeicesterContract: Fixed Term Contract (Approx. 4 Months)Start Date: Immediate Start Available Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Technician / Production Engineer to support the production and development of advanced superconducting materials within a highly innovative engineering environment. Working as part of a specialist team, you will be involved in the manufacture of high-precision superconducting tape products, supporting both production activities and ongoing research and development projects during an important growth phase of the business. Key Responsibilities Loading, threading and setting up production machinery. Carrying out machine preparation activities before and after production runs. Performing quality assurance checks, machine loading and process set-up activities. Running and monitoring production lines during an early-stage manufacturing development programme. Handling delicate and high-value superconducting materials with precision and care. Supporting tape insertion and processing operations involving long-length products of up to 150 metres. Ensuring correct machine settings and process parameters are achieved to meet stringent quality standards relating to tape thickness and electrical performance.
