Technician

A fast-moving battery materials team is seeking a Technician to help drive their lab and development activities forward. You''ll be directly involved in preparing materials, assisting with prototypes, and supporting the testing of next-generation silicon anodes.
 
The Technician will:

• Prepare and handle materials to support R&D and product development work.
• Assist with prototype builds, test samples, and experimental setups.
• Operate and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
• Support test programmes through data recording, sample tracking, and simple analysis.
• Maintain lab safety, organisation, and housekeeping standards.
• Follow documented procedures and helping improve processes where needed.

 
The Technician will have:

• Practical technician, laboratory, or engineering experience (materials, chemistry, battery, manufacturing, or similar).
• A hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical procedures.
• Experience working with lab, workshop, or production equipment.
• Basic understanding of measurement, testing, or data recording.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced R&D or start-up environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
• A relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND, apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent experience).
