THE ROLE
As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, maintenance, repairs and vehicle inspections while ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work
·Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
·Ensuring a high standard of quality and working towards a first-time fix
·Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required
·Recording and communicating vehicle health check findings
·Keeping workshop supervision updated on work progress
·Completing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards, where qualified
·Working efficiently while maintaining high standards of productivity
·Developing your skills and technical knowledge through regular training
·Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work bay
·Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and Health & Safety standards
 
ABOUT YOU
We''re looking for a Vehicle Technician / Service Technician / Mechanic with:
·A minimum NVQ / IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology
·Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic would be advantageous
·Strong mechanical and technical skills
·Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
·A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
·The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team
·Strong communication skills
A current MOT Licence would be highly advantageous, although we are also interested in hearing from experienced Vehicle Technicians looking to develop their career.
Newly qualified Technicians with the relevant qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
