Technical Surveyor - Social Housing (Repairs and Adaptations) Location: South East London Rate: 25 PAYE / 32 Umbrella Contract Type: Temporary The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Surveyor to join a local authority housing team in the South East on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in repairs and property adaptations to take ownership of technical inspections, case management, and contractor oversight.The successful candidate will work across a varied housing portfolio, ensuring homes are maintained to high standards while delivering vital adaptation works to meet residents'' needs. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out inspections of social housing properties to diagnose defects and specify appropriate repairsAssess, design, and oversee adaptation works including disabled facilities and specialist modificationsPrepare detailed schedules of work, specifications, and technical reportsSupervise contractors and operatives, ensuring works are delivered on time, to budget, and in line with compliance standardsProvide technical advice on building pathology, repairs, and adaptationsLiaise with residents, contractors, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfactionEnsure all works comply with housing legislation, building regulations, and health and safety requirementsSupport the delivery of both responsive repairs and planned adaptation projects RequirementsProven ..... full job details .....
