Technical Surveying Manager

Braxfield Recruitment is working exclusively with a London-based housing association to appoint a Surveying Manager to lead its responsive repairs, disrepair and damp and mould surveying teams. This is a hands-on operational role focused on driving repairs performance, contractor delivery and resident satisfaction across the housing stock. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - REPAIRS Lead the day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs and damp and mould, ensuring jobs are diagnosed, scheduled and completed right first time. Manage contractor and supply chain performance against SLAs, KPIs and cost targets, holding regular performance reviews and driving continuous improvement. Own repairs performance reporting first-time fix rates, appointment-keeping, completion times and resident satisfaction and use it to identify and resolve service bottlenecks. Ensure repairs are delivered in line with health and safety, compliance and quality standards, including post-inspection and quality-audit checks on completed works. Manage repairs budgets and expenditure, ensuring value for money and accurate cost control across responsive repairs. Work closely with asset management, planned works and compliance teams to ensure a joined-up approach to stock condition and investment priorities. Act as the main point of contact for escalated repairs issues, complaints and MP/councillor enquiries relating to repairs delivery.
