OverviewWe are currently seeking a Workshop Engineer to join our expanding team at our main facility in Runcorn, Cheshire. You will be working for a highly reputable business specialising in the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of machinery and technology used within the holiday park arcade and amusement sector.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Perform mechanical and electronic repairs on refurbishment machines
Carry out maintenance and testing of PC-based systems, power supply units and circuit boards
Diagnose faults in PC motherboards, circuit boards and general arcade machine components
Communicate effectively with line managers regarding faults or improvement opportunities
Adhere to health and safety policies and maintain a safe working environment
Prioritise and manage workload in line with production deadlines
Support the delivery of production schedules by working efficiently and independently
Skills Required / Qualifications
Previous hands-on experience in PC and electronic repairs is essential
Soldering skills and experience with open circuit board repairs
Familiarity with diagnosing and repairing power supply units
Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of engineering principles
Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Flexible and proactive attitude to support team targets
Ideally holds an electronics-based qualification (e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, HNC)
