Technical Specialist, Policy Engagement
Location: Cambridge Salary: £39,640 per annum Contract period: Permanent Start date: As soon as possible This is an exciting time to join Fauna and Flora''s small Policy team as the organisation is increasingly building more focussed influencing of government policy into its conservation work across its global portfolio. You will support Fauna and Flora projects in selected countries to develop or strengthen their strategies to influence policy and engage more effectively with policy-makers. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced policy and advocacy specialist with the ability to work constructively across different cultures, building positive, productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels across our global conservation programme and adept at finding ways to add value to their work. This role will work across a number of policy areas, including protected area, species-specific, climate and ocean related issues, and there are likely to be several opportunities in relation to wildlife trade-related policy where Fauna and Flora has a good track record. You are a highly motivated and skilled individual, ready to help lead and support Fauna and Flora''s efforts to influence policy responses to the nature and climate crises, concentrating on those policies that can support the delivery of Fauna and Flora''s global conservation programme.
