Technical Specialist, Partnerships and Organisational Development, Arctic
The role of Technical Specialist, Partnerships and Organisational Development, Arctic, offers the opportunity to help shape a new, community-led Arctic Initiative from its earliest phase. Unlike established projects with predefined workplans, the focus at this stage is on listening, relationship-building, scoping and co-design. You will work directly with partner organisations in Norway and Greenland to understand local priorities, capacity needs, barriers and aspirations, and to help translate these insights into early programme strategies, pilot activities and locally-led pathways for action. You will play a key role in developing and supporting partnerships with Indigenous-led and locally led organisations working on the stewardship of Arctic marine and coastal ecosystems. Working closely with the Arctic Initiative Lead, you will help partners identify and address organisational priorities, coordinating tailored organisational development, mentoring and technical support that strengthens their ability to deliver locally led conservation. You will also help connect partners with wider expertise, funding opportunities and networks, ensuring Fauna and Flora''s support complements existing initiatives and responds to partner-defined priorities. As part of a small and nimble core team, you will help ensure development of the Arctic Initiative remains grounded in partner perspectives while connecting local priorities with wider regional and international opportunities.
