Technical Solutions Architect

Solution Architect (Contract) - 6 Months Contract Hybrid( (Sheffield or London) Looking for a hands-on, delivery-focused Solution Architect who loves "holding the pen" on technical designs. You will join a major public-backed institution to support a Lead Architect across a dynamic portfolio of initiatives-from deal flow and valuations to Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), reporting, and AI capabilities. What You''ll Do Own the creation of solution designs, integration diagrams, data models, and non-functional requirements. Bridge the gap between high-level architectural intent and real-world delivery alongside BAs, Product Owners, and dev teams. Map dependencies across systems (CRM PMS reporting) and evaluate vendor/platform options with structured analysis. Provide architectural guidance for emerging AI-enabled initiatives. What We''re Looking For 5-8 years as a Solution or Technical Architect, ideally supporting a Lead Architect. Strong track record in financial services, investment management, or fund management platforms. Practical knowledge of integration patterns (APIs, data pipelines) and architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, C4, UML). Comfortable in Agile environments and working with regulated or public-sector governance frameworks.
