Could you provide critical and technical support to the frontline services of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service?If the answer is yes, then we may have the job for you!Based at our modern and well-equipped Fleet Maintenance Centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS), are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced

metal worker/fabrication specialist .This position requires the applicant to be an experienced welder in both MIG and TIG, be competent with fabrication techniques, be competent in operating a variety of metal working machinery such as guillotine and box press and have experience installing vehicle stowage. Other tasks will involve:Routine vehicle servicing on a variety of vehiclesVehicle repairs and maintenanceNew vehicle preparationVehicle upgradesRoutine equipment repairs, maintenance, and servicingMaintenance and care are carried out across the 62 HIWFRS sites and you will be expected to complete tasks on fire stations and on occasions at the scene of operational incidents to ensure the readiness and availability of fleet and equipment assets.
