Technical Services Manager

A Technical Services Manager (Fabric) is required in the West Midlands to lead building fabric maintenance across a complex healthcare estate, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant and maintained to recognised standards. Working closely with the Head of Estates, you''ll manage day-to-day service delivery, directly employed teams and contractors while supporting lifecycle planning, compliance and continuous improvement. The Role As the Technical Services Manager (Fabric), you''ll: Manage planned fabric maintenance through Maximo, ensuring statutory and technical standards are met. Lead staff and contractors, monitoring response times and the quality of completed repairs. Manage allocated budgets and negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost-effective services. Coordinate condition surveys, maintenance records and information required for lifecycle planning. Review contractor RAMS and inspect working practices, quality and safety on site. Deputise for the Head of Estates when required by the senior management team. About You To be successful as the Technical Services Manager (Fabric), you''ll have: A City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Strong technical knowledge of estates, building maintenance, construction or FM services. The ability to lead, delegate and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
