Technical Services Assistant
Location: Halesworth
Job Type: Full-time 39 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 8am 5pm Friday 8am – 1pm
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Duration: Temp - Perm 
  
We’re recruiting on the behalf of our client for a Technical Services Assistant who will play a key role in supporting the efficiency and organisation of the Technical Services Department. This position ensures the Engineering team operates smoothly by managing customer orders and providing administrative support, contributing to overall team success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders and schedules within agreed timescales
  • Submit order confirmations, proforma invoices, and despatch details
  • Liaise directly with customers to understand and communicate specific requirements
  • Calculate stock availability and arrange procurement at competitive prices
  • Manage Engineers’ workloads and coordinate schedules
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to streamline operations
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Organise and plan field service visits for Engineers
  
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Innovative and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional and confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
