Technical Seamstress

Role OverviewAs a Technical Seamstress, you''ll work in the workshop, handling fabric pieces from cutting through to final finishing. Your work will involve creating bespoke blinds and other soft textile products, ensuring precision, consistency and premium quality in every item. WORKING HOURS 32 Hours a Week - Mon - Thur : 9 - 4pm Key ResponsibilitiesMeasure, cut, stitch, assemble and finish textile components (blinds, curtains, soft furnishings) following detailed specification and fabric typeOperate sewing machines and other equipment (e.g., overlockers, blind-making machines, finishing tools)Maintain stitch quality, ensuring clean, accurate seams and finishesHandle tasks such as installing linings, tapes, and fittings with precision and careInspect finished goods for defects and ensure they meet company quality standardsMaintain organisation of fabric, accessories and workspaces so production flows smoothlyFollow safety procedures and good workshop practiceWhat We''re Looking ForSewing experience, ideally in a textile, upholstery, blinds or soft-furnishings environmentGood technical sewing skills: able to work with different fabrics, understand structure (linings, interlinings) and handle finishing detailsAn eye for detail and strong manual dexterityReliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn and follow instructionsAbility to work under direction but also independently when neededGood time management to maintain production schedulesBenefitsSalary of 20,280 per ..... full job details .....
