Technical Scientific Officer

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Environmental Protection professional to join the team and provide specialist technical and regulatory advice across a broad range of environmental protection matters. Key Responsibilities Investigate and manage complaints relating to noise, dust, odour, smoke, light and other environmental nuisances. Assess contaminated land and other environmental risks associated with existing sites and proposed developments. Provide specialist Environmental Protection advice on planning applications, major developments and regeneration schemes. Assess technical information relating to air quality, environmental noise, emissions and other pollution risks. Provide clear technical advice, prepare reports and correspondence, and support proportionate enforcement action in accordance with relevant legislation.
