Location: Northern UK (Ideally based in Southern Scotland / Borders) Duration: Permanent Hours: 9am - 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) Home-based role offering flexibility and autonomy Salary: Excellent basic plus car and commission, with Laptop, iPhone and iPad Job Reference: 36069 Polytec are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist in Chemistry for our client, a successful scientific equipment manufacturer. You will be responsible for a large area stretching across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You must be based within this territory, preferably between Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow. This field based role focuses on driving new business, strengthening customer relationships and supporting users across the territory. Responsibilities: - Sales Development: Identify new opportunities and manage the full sales cycle. - Customer Management: Build and maintain relationships through structured site visits, calls and account management. - Field Work: Carry out product demonstrations, training sessions and onsite meetings (including overnight travel). - CRM Management: Keep accurate records and follow internal sales processes using CRM software (Salesforce). - Events: Organise and attend local mini exhibitions, symposiums and similar activities. - Additional Duties: Support territory related marketing, contribute to webinars and training videos, and report on competitors and market trends.
