Technical Sales Manager

You''ll take technical problems our customers can''t solve themselves and turn them into bespoke engineered solutions worth tens of thousands of pounds.

We design and manufacture custom industrial equipment for manufacturing and heavy industry customers across the UK. Every project is different, every solution is engineered from scratch, and you''ll own the entire sales process from first conversation to signed order.

What you''ll earn:
* -60,000 basic salary
* -80k OTE
* Company car
* Hybrid working (typically three days per week at our Midlands office, the rest from home or on customer sites)

What you''ll do:
* Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order
* Visit customer sites to understand their application and technical requirements
* Work with our design, engineering and estimating teams to develop commercially viable solutions
* Develop existing customer relationships and convert an established pipeline of opportunities
* Generate new business and open doors with manufacturing and industrial prospects
* Handle deals that range from quick-turnaround projects to longer, consultative technical sales

Deal size and complexity vary. Some opportunities move quickly; others need a more considered, partnership approach.

What we''re looking for:

Essential:
* Proven technical sales experience selling bespoke, engineered or application-led solutions (not catalogue products)
* A background selling into manufacturing or industrial customers
* Comfortable visiting sites, diagnosing customer problems and collaborating with technical colleagues to design and cost a solution
* Commercially sharp and confident generating new business, not just managing existing accounts
* Able to commute to our Midlands office around three days per week

Nice to have:
* Experience in fabrication, material handling, industrial equipment, racking and storage systems, capital equipment or similar engineered products (but we care more about how you sell than an exact product match)
