Technical Sales Manager at Tekpak Automation. This is a UK-focused role within a growing manufacturer of automation and robotic solutions, supplying high-performance packaging lines and bespoke solutions to the Pharma, Food and Beverage, Life Science and Biotech markets. The company is based in Wexford, Ireland and supports customers with bespoke multi-format solutions and full lines. The business is a family company with integrity, ownership, purpose and customer focus at the centre of what it does.The position will be a key resource to the Sales effort at Tekpak to help identify and close large-scale multi-million Euro, complex automation projects for world-leading companies in Food and Life Sciences in the UK. It is suitable for someone in a design team moving into a senior technical sales role or someone in sales seeking a step up.Responsibilities
Lead the drafting of concepts and 2D AutoCAD layouts for individual solutions and full lines, including simulations, rendering or data to support salesGenerate quotation templates and proposals for customersCollaborate with the CEO and Technical Director to ensure quotations and designs include all information and costsSupport pricing with the Technical Director, Production Director and Financial Controller to ensure pricing and cost data are accurateRepresent the business at major industry events, conferences, trade shows and expositions, including presenting products and servicesSupport the sales pipeline and lead tracking to report on KPIs related to lead generation and conversionWork with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer service for clientsProvide market feedback to leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and ideas for product developmentSupport sales with updating CRM and maintaining up-to-date cataloguesLead sales activities for the food sectorAttributes

4 or more years in the packaging, engineering or machine manufacturing industryExperience in selling automationDeep experience with AutoCAD 2DSome knowledge of SolidWorks 3DSome experience with Blender, RoboDK or similar for 3D animationsExperience developing automation solutions and concept layout design is a distinct advantageCompetency in Word, PowerPoint and ExcelJob details
