Technical Sales Engineer

Technical Sales Engineer - to -42k doe

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a mechanical engineering background who enjoys interpreting technical specifications, reading engineering drawings, and providing expert support throughout the enquiry and quotation process. You''ll work closely with customers and the external sales team, using your engineering knowledge to deliver accurate, commercially sound solutions.

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers with technical and commercial enquiries.

  
  
  

• Producing detailed quotations based on engineering drawings and specifications.

  
  
  

• Providing technical guidance and product support to customers throughout the enquiry process.

  
  
  

• Processing customer orders and managing projects from enquiry through to order entry.

  
  
  

• Liaising with engineering, production and external sales teams to ensure customers receive the right solution.

  
  
  

• Managing enquiry deadlines and keeping customers updated on project progress.

  
  
  

• A mechanical engineering qualification (Degree, HND or equivalent).

  
  
  

• Experience in a technical engineering environment, ideally in internal sales, applications engineering, quotations or customer support.

  
  
  

• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  
  
  

• Strong communication skills and confidence discussing technical solutions with customers.

  
  
  

• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple enquiries at once.

  
  
  

This is a technical support-focused position where your engineering knowledge is valued just as much as your customer service skills. You''ll spend your time solving engineering problems, preparing quotations and supporting customers with complex products.
