Metalis are working with a client that are a rapidly growing metal engineering and subcontract manufacturing company, established just 18 months ago and already making significant strides in the industry. During this time, they have expanded their operations, including the acquisition of a heat treatment business and relocation to larger premises.

As they continue to build on this momentum, we are looking to bring in talented and driven individuals to help shape the future of the company.

The Role

They are seeking an experienced sales professional with a strong engineering background to drive business growth and strengthen client relationships.

This role is key to expanding our presence within subcontract manufacturing, working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within subcontract manufacturing
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order completion
  • Prepare quotations in collaboration with engineering and production teams
  • Interpret technical drawings and customer requirements
  • Conduct client meetings and represent the business professionally
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to company growth
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity

About You

  • Proven track record in sales within engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to read engineering drawings
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Contractual profit-sharing scheme
  • 40 hours per week (typically 7:00 - 15:30, with flexibility)
    • Many team members currently work 6:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday
    • Early finish on Fridays (typically 6:30 - 12:30)
