Technical Sales Engineer – Machinery Movement & Lifting

Thomas Lee Recruitment is working with an established specialist in machinery movement, lifting and engineering services to recruit an experienced Technical Sales Engineer.

From individual machine installations to larger relocation projects, the business provides practical solutions for customers moving heavy and complex equipment. They now want someone who can develop existing relationships and proactively win new customers.

The role

• Identify and develop opportunities with manufacturers, engineering businesses and machinery suppliers.
• Visit customer sites to understand upcoming projects and requirements.
• Work with the technical and operations teams to develop proposals and quotations.
• Follow opportunities through from initial enquiry to securing the order.
• Build repeat business through strong relationships and reliable follow-up.

What we''re looking for

You''ll have a track record in technical sales and be comfortable talking to engineering managers, operations teams and business owners.

Experience in machinery movement, crane hire, contract lifting or industrial installation would be particularly relevant. We''d also welcome candidates from capital equipment, materials handling or related engineering services who understand manufacturing environments and project sales.

You''ll need to be proactive, commercially aware and capable of managing your own pipeline. Someone who asks sensible questions, spots opportunities and follows through.
