Technical Repairs Support Officer Location: Ealing, W5 2HL (Full-time office based) Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £22.02 PAYE / £28.71 Umbrella Contract: 3 months initially, with possible extension Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting for a Technical Repairs Support Officer to join a busy Housing Repairs team within a London Local Authority. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with housing repairs knowledge, strong customer service skills, and contact centre experience to play a key role in supporting residents and coordinating responsive repair services. The role is based on site in Ealing and involves providing a technically informed service to residents reporting housing repairs, accurately diagnosing repair issues, and ensuring repairs are allocated to the appropriate contractors. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and identify housing repair issues through effective questioning and technical knowledge. Raise, record and allocate repair jobs to relevant contractors and technical teams. Monitor repairs and contractor performance to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales. Manage work in progress and support repairs administration. Maintain accurate records using housing management, IT and telephony systems. Communicate effectively with residents, providing updates and clear explanations regarding repair issues and processes.
