Key Responsibilities:
As the Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence to food safety standards and managing the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and optimising the HACCP plan to ensure it''s fit for purpose.
- Overseeing food safety records, including knife, toolbox, weight control, and glass control.
- Managing trace ability records for purchased ingredients and supplier documentation.
- Conducting internal audits, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with BRC, GMP, FEMAS, and EU/UK regulations.
- Developing and delivering food safety and health & safety training programmes for production staff.
- Liaising with Pest Control and Cleaning Contractors to ensure effective operations and continuous improvement.
- Supporting and managing the Lab Team Leader and Quality Assurance (QA) staff.
What We''re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and Food Safety Management.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety Standards.
- Excellent documentation management and internal audit skills.
- Exceptional communication skills for training and supporting staff.
- A proactive approach to Health & Safety and a commitment to continuous improvement.
