Job Title: Technical Publications EngineerLocation: Huddersfield 4 days per week OR Derby 3 days per weekRole Type: Contract - OUTSIDE IR35Duration: 12 monthsRate: 45.00 Per Hour Our client, an established engineering consultancy, require an experienced Technical Publications Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team working complex aerospace and defence systems. Candidates would need to hold British nationality and have lived and worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for SC security clearance. What the role of the Technical Publications Engineer entails:Author and update installation manuals, maintenance procedures, service manuals, engineering change documentations and Assembly and disassembly instructions and any other client facing technical documentation.Interpret mechanical drawings, CAD models and BOMs to develop user centric documentationCollaborate with design engineers, manufacturing, and product teams to understand product functionalityDevelop content for 2D/3D illustrations using tools such as Solid Edge or equivalentWork within customer processes, systems, equipment, and facilities, including the maintenance of standards, procedures, processes, and SOPs in accordance with national standards, international standards, and customer requirements.Support project meetings, supplier meetings, and customer meetings providing updates and support on metallurgy function related issues as required.
