Salary: Up to -45,000 based on experience-

Due to continued growth, eXcent UK is looking for a Technical Proposals Engineer to join our Bid & Tender Team.

This is a key position within the business, acting as the link between our customers,-Design Engineers-and Supply Chain partners. You will be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries, interpreting technical requirements and developing commercially competitive proposals for complex engineering and manufacturing projects.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys customer interaction, commercial awareness and problem-solving.-

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, drawings and technical specifications.

• Interpret RFQs and tender documentation to identify technical and commercial requirements.

• Develop accurate cost estimates and quotations for engineering projects.

• Work closely with Design, Projects, Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure proposals are technically feasible and commercially competitive.

• Prepare professional bid submissions, quotations and customer proposals.

• Liaise directly with customers to clarify requirements and develop strong working relationships.

• Support contract handover activities following successful project awards.

• Act as a central point of coordination between customers and internal stakeholders throughout the bid process.

About You

• Engineering, manufacturing or aerospace experience is essential.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Organised and capable of managing multiple enquiries simultaneously.

• Experience of quotations, estimating, proposals, bids or tenders would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
