Technical Planning Project Manager – Financial Services
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid – 3 days on site)

We’re working with a leading financial services organisation who are looking for a Technical Planning Manager to join a high-profile, complex programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced delivery environments and has a proven track record of managing large-scale project plans under tight deadlines.

If you’ve built and managed Microsoft Project plans with over 10,000 rows and a high number of dependencies, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Taking ownership of a large, complex programme plan and ensuring it stays on track.

• Maintaining the highest level of accuracy and detail in all planning outputs.

• Collaborating with multiple managers, holding them accountable for delivery against milestones.

• Managing and tracking dependencies across workstreams.

• Engaging stakeholders at all levels with clear communication and updates.

• Understanding and incorporating technical details into the plan.

What we’re looking for:

• Significant experience managing plans for large, complex programmes.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Project – especially with large-scale plans and multiple dependencies.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Confident, assertive, and able to influence stakeholders.

• Strong dependency management and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Good understanding of technical terminology and solutions.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with global teams.

• Knowledge of PAM tools.
