The Product Owner will be responsible for the functional design, and development roadmap and live service for a new platform.What you’ll be doing:Creation and prioritization of the product backlogResponsible for translating business requirements into technology capabilities by working with development teams, business experts and testing teamsEnd-to-end ownership, quality control and performance of the productsStrategic vision for the products, including the development roadmapAct as arbitrator between business stakeholders and development teams to match business priority to development capacityFinancial and demand management for the productStakeholder management across the business and third-party suppliersActing as the technical consultant for new projects or platform features and be the intermediary between the business users and engineering teamsWhat you’ll bring:Significant experience as a Product Owner with proven experience of taking new customer platforms/systems to market gained within the financial services industryAbility to lead and coach the product team including resourcing, line management, prioritisation and optimising ways of workingOutstanding communication, presentation and leadership skillsAbility to chair, own, and steer critical development meetings to achieve a satisfactory outcomeAble to demonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operatesSomeone who demonstrates awareness and understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectationsHave a high-level understanding of technical and operational product aspects that need to be considered for product decisionsAbility to anticipate and create new perspectives and ideas that resolve problems and take advantage of opportunities in the mid termDemonstrate the ability to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and oversees changes when requiredSomeone who can lead the development of a culture focused upon providing an excellent quality service to clientsExperience gained within the motor finance/car leasing/consumer lending industry – highly desiredExperience with software development lifecycleExperience with agile methodologiesExperience and awareness in Java and AWS technologies would be beneficial, not essential.In return the successful candidate will receive a salary of between £75,000 and £85,000 plus an extensive range of benefits which includes:30 days holiday, a discretionary performance related bonus, car allowance, PMI and a generous pension contribution.Candidates must hold a British, EU Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain.
