Technical Platform Manager - HPC andamp; Digital InfrastructureLocation: Bristol/Hybrid (3 days onsite)Salary: Up to £65,000Hours: 35 hours per weekThe OpportunityWe are recruiting for an experienced Technical Platform Manager to join an organisation operating a modern, purpose-built technology facility in Bristol.You will take ownership of a complex technical environment covering high-performance computing (HPC), compute clusters, networking, storage and Back End services, ensuring platform stability, resilience and continuous improvement.This role combines technical leadership with hands-on infrastructure management, leading a team of three engineers while working closely with technical specialists and senior stakeholders.We are particularly interested in candidates from commercial, engineering, technology or research environments who can bring a proactive approach to managing and improving complex infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of HPC infrastructure, compute clusters, storage environments and Back End services.Identify technical risks, improve platform resilience and address single points of failure.Lead and develop a technical team of three, providing technical direction and operational oversight.Manage infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, incident response and continuous improvement initiatives.Establish operational standards, documentation and ITIL-aligned processes.Develop technical roadmaps, introducing automation, monitoring and DevOps practices ..... full job details .....
