Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing

Location: Wiltshire
Salary: Up to £60,000

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Manager to take the lead on food safety, quality and technical compliance within a fast-paced chilled food manufacturing environment.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with senior leadership to protect product integrity, exceed customer expectations and ensure the site consistently meets the highest regulatory and industry standards.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the site’s technical function, driving a strong culture of food safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the technical, food safety and quality agenda across the site
• Ensuring full compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, UK legislation and customer standards
• Managing internal, external, customer and third-party audits
• Maintaining and continually improving the site’s food safety and quality systems
• Working closely with production and operational teams to embed technical standards
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors and internal stakeholders
• Identifying risks, driving corrective actions and delivering sustainable improvements
• Providing clear technical leadership and expert advice to senior management

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a confident, commercially aware technical professional who can lead from the front, challenge effectively and get results.

Essential experience includes:

• Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical professional within food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards and audit management
• HACCP qualification with proven practical application
• Strong understanding of UK food safety legislation and retailer requirements
• Excellent leadership, influencing and communication skills
• A Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Experience within chilled food manufacturing is highly desirable
