We’re looking for an experienced food manufacturing Technical professional to join a busy site near Wincanton as Technical Manager.

This is a great opportunity for an existing Technical Manager looking for their next challenge, or a Senior Technical / Technical Lead / Quality Manager ready to step up into a site-level leadership role.

You’ll take ownership of food safety, quality, legality and compliance, while working closely with other members of the Technical Team and working closely with Operations and senior stakeholders to drive standards and continuous improvement.

Technical Manager Key Responsibilities

• Own site food safety, quality and legality systems.
• Lead HACCP, VACCP and TACCP.
• Manage BRCGS, customer and regulatory compliance.
• Lead customer, certification and regulatory audits.
• Develop Technical KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier approval, specifications and technical documentation.
• Champion a strong food safety culture across the site.

Technical Manager - About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Food manufacturing Technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, food safety and quality systems.
• Experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership or team management experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

You don’t need to have held the exact title of Site Technical Manager. If you have the technical knowledge, leadership potential and ambition to step up, we’d like to hear from you.
