Technical Manager

A growing UK food business is seeking a Technical Manager to support the delivery of industry-leading standards across food safety, quality, compliance and supplier management. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong food professional to join a fast-paced and innovative organisation, working cross-functionally with internal teams, manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory expectations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving technical systems, managing supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, legal and customer requirements. Lead supplier approval, monitoring and performance management programmes. Conduct supplier audits and technical reviews. Manage product specifications, technical documentation and due diligence systems. Support new product development projects from a technical and compliance perspective. Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances and root cause analyses. Monitor emerging legislation and ensure business compliance. Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to drive continuous improvement. Lead risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and product compliance activities.
