Freelance Technical Manager - Residential Scheme (500 Units)

Duration: Long-term
Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join a leading contractor or developer on a major residential scheme of approximately 500 units based in Guildford. This is a long-term freelance role with an immediate start available.

• Oversee the technical delivery of a multi-phase residential development.

• Manage the design process from planning through to construction, working closely with external consultants and internal departments.

• Ensure all technical information is accurate, coordinated, and issued in line with programme requirements.

• Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with Building Regulations and NHBC standards.

• Support the site team with technical queries and resolve design issues efficiently.

• Proven experience as a Technical Manager (or Senior Technical Coordinator stepping up) on large-scale residential schemes.

• Strong technical knowledge of traditional build and/or RC frame construction methods.

• Familiarity with current UK Building Regulations and planning policy.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Available to start immediately or at short notice.

• Ideally based within a commutable distance to Guildford.
