I''m looking for a Technical Estimator to join a leading UK engineering manufacturer where your technical knowledge will directly influence multi-million-pound projects.

You''ll work closely with engineering, production and purchasing teams to produce accurate costings, negotiate the best value with suppliers and help drive cost improvements without compromising quality.

• Producing accurate cost estimates from engineering drawings
• Pricing raw materials including forgings, bar stock and fasteners
• Calculating machining, labour and component costs
• Managing supplier quotations and negotiating competitive pricing
• Monitoring supplier capacity and lead times
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure projects remain commercially competitive

• A strong engineering or machine shop background
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand machining processes
• Experience estimating or costing manufactured components
• Knowledge of metals, commodity pricing and manufacturing techniques
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• ERP experience (Syteline advantageous)
