This newly created position carries responsibility for all fire alarm activity, overseeing installation and commissioning from order through to acceptance and practical completion. The successful candidate acts as technical authority for fire installations, leading the engineering team and providing specialist support across projects. Close collaboration with estimation and design colleagues ensures work is specified and costed accurately, safeguarding margins and maximising profitability. This leading fire and security systems installer based in Kent are looking to recruit a Technical Engineering Manager for everything fire alarm related within the business, this is a new role that will manage and oversee all installation and commissioning works, from order to acceptance/design to practical completion. The successful applicant will be accountable for the management and operational delivery of all fire related works and will be the technical authority for fire installations and commissioning, providing technical support and leading the engineering team. Working with the estimation and design team to ensure work is designed and costed correctly so margins are met, with a view to maximising profits of all projects.
Candidates will need to be form the fire alarm industry, have a full understanding of BS 5839 and BAFE standards, a proven record in project delivery, a high level of fire alarm engineering expertise, commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and IT skills, HR and H&S awareness and a full driving licence.
This excellent opportunity comes with a basic salary of £65,000, car, bonus and package, working for a well-regarded industry installer. This is a predominantly office-based role with scope for some hybrid working
