Job Title:Technical Engineer - Lab Infrastructure Location: Slough/Winnersh - 5 days per week onsite initially, to go down to 2/3 afterwards Salary/Rate: 500 per day inside IR35 Start Date: 09/11/2026 Job Type: Contract - 6 monthsCompany Introduction We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading telecommunication clients!This role will be supporting the transformation and operational management of the test lab estate. The role is not a traditional network engineering or testing position. The successful contractor will focus on lab operations, systems administration, Source of Truth ownership, platform stewardship, incident management and supporting the test environment.The contractor will be instrumental in supporting an evolving lab operations model, helping build out the Source of Truth capability (NetBox), and ultimately supporting future automation and orchestration initiatives.Job Responsibilities/ObjectivesAdminister systemsSupport lab infrastructureManage operational processesDrive and maintain quality dataSupport the Source of Truth platformCoordinate incidents and work ordersContribute ideas and improvementsSupport future automation initiativesMust-Have SkillsNetBox (or Comparable Experience)This is the most important area of the role.
