HV Technical Engineer - New Role Location: Ballymena and travel to site A long established engineering and construction organisation in Northern Ireland is creating a new HV Technical Engineer position to strengthen its in house capability as it expands into utility scale Solar PV and BESS EPC M delivery. This is a rare opportunity to shape a growing HV function from the ground up. The successful candidate will drive engineering quality, reduce reliance on external consultants, and support predictable, lender aligned project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assurance for HV grid connection designs. Lead the DNO interface, managing submissions, clarifications, and approvals. Review and direct ICP deliverables such as SLDs, protection philosophies, earthing studies, and cabling. Oversee contestable vs non contestable scope and energisation readiness. Strengthen HV QA/QC processes and technical governance. Act as an internal HV subject matter expert and mentor early career engineers.
