As a Technical Director Civil Engineering, you will lead in business development and civil engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad. You will act as a strategic industry leader, bringing people together to develop innovative and viable solutions to complex challenges facing society. We specialise in civil engineering across sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities and Development, Education and Water, delivering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.Opportunities are available in our Epsom, London, Bristol, Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow offices.
Responsibilities
Be accountable for technical delivery and safety to high-quality levels across multiple projects and programmes, acting as a point of escalation for resolutions of complex technical matters.Set technical strategic direction for projects and bid proposals; act as a subject-matter-expert.Lead an agenda of technical excellence and continuous improvement in the practice; ensure quality assurance standards in design.Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.Accountable for quality assurance standards in design.Grow, develop and manage water engineering capability within the practice; bring innovative approaches and provide vision and inspiration to others.Be a strategic partner for our clients, sought out as a go-to person within your technical field.What you can bring
Chartered Civil Engineer.Influential and esteemed leadership, internally and externally.Multi-disciplinary integration and coordination experience.Comprehensive knowledge in external works design such as utilities, paving, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.Nationally or internationally recognised subject matter expertise in your discipline(s).A strategic and transformational mindset.Why work for AtkinsRéalis?
