Technical Director - Building Regulations Compliance

Technical Director required to lead and drive the growth of a Building Regulations and Compliance Consultancy. This senior leadership role combines technical expertise, project oversight, business development and team leadership. You will work closely with the Operations Director to shape the future direction of the service, strengthen technical capability and identify opportunities for sustainable growth. This is primarily an office-based position, with regular travel to client sites, industry meetings and professional events. Key Responsibilities Provide senior technical leadership across building regulations, compliance and building control services. Oversee complex and high-risk projects, ensuring quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction. Develop and expand specialist consultancy services in response to market and regulatory changes. Build strong client relationships and contribute to new business, revenue growth and market development. Lead, coach and mentor technical teams, supporting professional development, succession and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain high standards of technical governance, quality assurance, compliance and project delivery. Keep the business ahead of legislative and industry developments, adapting processes and services where required.
