Job Description
Technical Coordinator
Permanent | Full-time

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced operation, supporting the technical team with day-to-day food safety, quality assurance, and compliance activities across site. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring technical data accuracy, and supporting smooth production through effective communication and forward planning.

Working closely with production, commercial, and technical teams, you''ll act as the technical point of contact for 1-2 UK retail accounts, managing specifications, customer line details, and raw material compliance in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

What you''ll be doing

As a Technical Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting internal audits and monitoring site compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for 1-2 UK retail accounts following a structured handover
  • Managing customer line details alongside the commercial team to ensure production has accurate, up-to-date information
  • Assisting with supplier approval and raw material compliance, ensuring specifications and documentation are correct and current
  • Supporting complaint investigations, non-conformance management, and corrective actions
  • Maintaining and organising technical documentation, records, and test results accurately
  • Providing support to wider technical systems, including labelling and data management systems
  • Working proactively with the team to manage fast-moving customer requests and changing priorities
  • Supporting forward planning and essential out-of-hours cover when required to minimise operational issues
  • What we''re looking for
  • We''re looking for a proactive, organised individual with a strong interest in technical and quality functions, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally, you''ll have:

  • Experience within a Technical, Quality, or Food Safety role
  • A good understanding of food safety legislation and industry standards (BRCGS or equivalent)
  • HACCP Level 3, Food Safety, or Quality Management training (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confidence interpreting specifications, technical data, and test results
  • A solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Competent IT skills and confidence working with technical systems and documentation
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to managing changing priorities

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical career within a supportive and fast-moving environment, with exposure to major retail accounts and end-to-end technical processes.
