Technical Business Development Manager

Nexus Resource Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established specialist engineering company providing on-site / in-situ machining and engineering services to major industrial clients throughout the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced engineering professional to become a key regional focal point across Plymouth, Bristol and the wider Southwest. This is not a traditional sales position. We are looking for someone with a strong engineering and preferably machining background who can combine technical knowledge, project delivery, site execution, customer relationship management and business development. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable discussing a machining requirement with an engineer on site, supporting the development of a technical solution, helping prepare the commercial proposal and then supporting or executing the project through mobilisation and delivery. The Role You will develop and manage customer relationships throughout the Southwest while identifying opportunities for on-site machining and associated engineering services. Working closely with the company''s engineering and operations team, you will help take projects from initial enquiry and site assessment through technical development, quotation, mobilisation, execution and close-out.
