Technical Author Location: Cheltenham Contract Length: 24 monthsAbout the RoleWe are seeking two experienced Technical Authors to create, maintain, and deliver high-quality technical documentation for our products. You''ll work closely with engineering, design, and test teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports both customers and internal stakeholders.This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented authors who can translate complex technical information into well-structured documents and diagrams.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain existing documentation, ensuring it remains accurate, current, and aligned with company standardsProduce new design and build documents, including technical specifications and user manualsDevelop test plans and other supporting technical materials in collaboration with internal teamsEngage with subject matter experts to gather technical informationUse corporate drawing tools (Visio, CorelDRAW) to create diagrams and illustrationsCreate, edit, and manage PDFs using Adobe AcrobatEnsure documentation is consistent in style, format, terminology, and qualityBuild a strong understanding of company products and technologies to ensure accurate and relevant outputWhat We''re Looking ForProven experience as a Technical Author in a technical or engineering environmentStrong writing, structuring, and content-design skillsAbility to interpret complex technical information and explain it clearlyProficiency with Visio, ..... full job details .....
