Technical Author

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Author to support important marine engineering projects on a permanent basis. The role involves developing and maintaining clear, accurate technical documentation for the installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical systems aboard marine vessels.Key Responsibilities:Produce installation, operation and maintenance manuals for marine electrical systemsDevelop work instructions, installation procedures, technical specifications and electrical installation guidesCreate documentation from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, engineering drawings and design packagesPrepare commissioning, testing, inspection, Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test proceduresGenerate technical data packs, equipment technical files and configuration control records for customer approval and platform integrationReview engineering change requests and ensure controlled documentation reflects the latest designsWork with design engineers, project managers, production teams, installation personnel and customers to verify technical informationCapture lessons learned and support design reviews, production readiness reviews and customer meetings where documentation expertise is requiredJob Requirements:Experience in technical authoring within the engineering, marine, industrial sectorsStrong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems and equipment installation ..... full job details .....
