This role supports the delivery of high-quality, science-based sustainability certification by conducting technical audits for a range of BREEAM schemes. As part of the Certification and Operations team within BPS, the role ensures consistency, accuracy, and professionalism in all certification activities.Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Conduct desktop-based technical audits of BREEAM assessments, liaising with translators when requiredManage personal workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and turnaround targetsProvide customer support via phone, email, and live chatMaintain accurate records and update certification databases in line with operational proceduresSupport the onboarding and training of new team members and contribute to the professional development of colleaguesAssist the leadership team in maintaining high performance standards and improving QA processesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives across the team and certification operationsPerform additional tasks as required to support operational deliveryWhat we are looking for

These are the minimum requirements needed to perform the role effectively:Ability to prioritise own workload and work independently without close supervisionStrong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining recordsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfident engaging with internal and external stakeholdersExperience in providing customer support via email, phone, or live chatAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentProactive approach to learning and supporting team developmentAdvanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to follow standard procedures and operational processesExperience maintaining accurate administration recordsEffective team player with a proactive and professional approachDesirable Criteria
These are qualifications, skills, or experiences that are advantageous but not required:Broad knowledge of building-related disciplines, including understanding of design, construction, and sustainability impactsFamiliarity with BREEAM or similar environmental assessment methodsPrevious experience in auditing, compliance, or quality assuranceKnowledge of BRE products, clients, or the wider construction and sustainability sectorsExperience using live chat systems for customer supportAdditional language skills (for supporting global customers and translators)BRE Benefits
