Technical Assistant

Your new company A well-established food manufacturing business in the Belfast area is seeking a Technical Assistant to join its Technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a food industry professional looking to further develop their career within food safety, quality and compliance. Working closely with an experienced Technical Manager, you will gain exposure to customer requirements, auditing, specifications, supplier management and quality systems across a diverse product portfolio.Your new role As Technical Assistant, you will support the Technical Manager in ensuring food safety, quality, legality and customer requirements are consistently maintained across the business. You will play a key role in audit preparation, quality management systems, customer specifications, internal auditing and complaint investigation activities.Your responsibilities will include supporting SALSA and Organic audits, completing customer questionnaires and specifications, conducting internal audits, monitoring CCPs and GMP standards, undertaking shelf-life and microbiological sampling, managing traceability requirements and supporting non-conformance investigations.
