Key responsibilities
- Collaborate seamlessly with our engineering and project teams, working alongside them to achieve outstanding results.
- Act as a key link between engineers and other departments, communicating effectively to help progress tasks and actions on behalf of more senior Engineers.
- Embrace a variety of engineering tasks that support projects and programs, showcasing your adaptability and versatility whilst working under the guidance of senior engineers, such as:

- Writing Method Statements
- Writing Test Specifications
- Implementing ECRs
- Change Management
- Drawing Updates
- Occasional Site Work
- Participate in internal and external meetings, contributing your insights to shape the future of our business.
- Maintain thorough and organised documentation, following our local operating procedures.
Qualifications / Skills required.
- A minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification / completion of an engineering apprenticeship, demonstrating a strong engineering background (either electrical or mechanical).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with staff across engineering and other business functions to drive progress on tasks and actions.
- A team player mentality, thriving in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, allowing you to excel in various tasks.
- A rapid learner with a flexible and adaptable engineering approach, ready to tackle diverse challenges related to engineering problems.
- An accurate, diligent, and methodical approach to work in an engineering environment.
- Ability to plan and organise your own work following higher-level direction.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business including suppliers and customers.
- Possess a hunger to learn from this unique opportunity to effectively support the business and further your own development.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles, enhancing your ability to innovate and explore new possibilities.
- Experience in supporting the design, assembly, test, and delivery of complex Defence systems, demonstrating your expertise in high-stakes projects.
- Proven experience using recognised design tools such as SolidWorks (mechanical) or electrical design software, showcasing your relevant expertise.
- An ambition to progress into a more specialist or supervisory role within the organisation, taking advantage of the opportunities this role provides to shape your long-term career.
