Technical Architect
based in London, reporting to the Head of Subsection – Business Solutions.Responsibilities:
Coordinate and develop technological architecture/roadmaps and processes to manage the technological lifecycle within the organization.Create strategic technical models and prepare business cases aligned with IT security and quality guidelines, presenting these for strategic initiatives.Support the implementation of security architectures to minimize breaches, in line with IT security strategies.Plan data storage, sharing, and publishing strategies aligned with enterprise architecture.Develop and set standards for technology/software development policies.Manage application assets and oversee development efforts to improve solution delivery and agility, analyzing enterprise business context and change requirements.Communicate TA concepts and track progress toward future architectural states.Lead technical implementation projects and guide team efforts.Develop and promote reusable technical patterns and monitor their usage.Drive digital innovation by leveraging new technologies to enhance the IT estate.Mentor and collaborate with technical experts and peers to develop technology architectures that enable new business capabilities.Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum 7 years of experience in system design, integration, or software development as a senior developer/architect.Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, DevOps, UML, and agile practices.Deep technical expertise in web-based, service-based, enterprise, and cloud architectures.Working knowledge of MS SQL and Oracle databases.Experience leading ETL architecture development using Informatica.Proven success in delivering value through implementation projects.Ability to evaluate and design data processes, analytics, and data quality management.We encourage candidates whose experience may not align perfectly with all requirements to apply, as you might be the right fit!At Munich Re, we embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to foster innovation and resilience.
