Location: LondonHybrid: 3 days / weekDuration: Initial 6 monthsRate: Inside IR35The OpportunityOur client, a global insurance organisation operating within a highly regulated environment, is looking for an experienced Technical Architect with strong AS/400 (IBM iSeries) expertise to join their Application Solutions team.This role will play a key part in several high-profile migration and transformation programmes, helping to modernise critical applications while ensuring stability across existing platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and deliver technical architecture for IBM iSeries / AS/400 applications.Lead migration and modernisation projects involving legacy systems.Collaborate with business, technical, and third-party teams to deliver scalable solutions.Produce architecture roadmaps, solution designs, and technical documentation.Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and business objectives.Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout project delivery.RequirementsProven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Technical Lead.Strong expertise in AS/400 / IBM iSeries environments.Strong experience within the insurance sector.Experience delivering application migration, transformation, or modernisation programmes.Knowledge of IBM i technologies, including RPG, CL, COBOL, or DB2 for i (desirable).Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience integrating legacy and modern platforms.Hays ..... full job details .....
