Job Title: Technical Admin (Technical Assistant)

Location: Primarily Remote with Some Travel Required Grade

Level: 4 Business Unit: Engineering Infrastructure Delivery North

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Admin to support the Infrastructure Delivery Northwest leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a flair for organisation and a passion for technical administration to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of projects within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical secretary for regional forums, meetings, and events, managing travel, hotel, and meeting room bookings.
  • Provide essential support for team communications, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
  • Offer technical business systems assistance to the leadership team, helping to streamline processes.
  • Manage and store project data using CPM, SharePoint, or equivalent systems, adhering to retention policies.
  • Produce, collate, and coordinate project and team performance data for weekly and monthly reviews.
  • Interpret data to generate comprehensive technical reports, aiding decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate the lessons learned process by collaborating with project teams to identify improvements and implement changes.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Project Director or Senior Project Managers, while also coordinating with other technical assistants across the region.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS applications, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Experience coordinating business systems within a commercial project management setting.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of functioning as part of an integrated team.
  • Familiarity with creating a culture of continuous improvement through effective systems and procedures.
  • Competence in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret technical data.
  • Proficient in document management and administration of online Collaborative Project Management systems.
  • Capability to present management information in various formats, utilising desktop software packages.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong organisational and workload management skills.
  • Experience with Common Data Environments and collaboration software.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a document controlling environment.
