Overview
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional for a client in the Real Estate sector. The role focuses on complex financial reporting and transactional accounting with deep US GAAP and IFRS expertise, including consolidation and interpretation of legal and financial agreements.Responsibilities
Manage accounting activities across the full business lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and entity liquidationsApply strong technical knowledge of US GAAP (including ASC 810), IFRS, and UK regulatory frameworks to support accurate and compliant reportingAnalyse and interpret legal documents such as joint venture and distribution/marketing agreements, translating them into actionable financial insightsPrepare technical accounting memos related to revenue recognition and the financial impact of corporate transactionsSupport monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, consolidations, and intercompany eliminationsCoordinate with auditors and assist in annual audits and financial statement reviewsAdapt quickly to new challenges in a dynamic, start-up-style environment, contributing to ongoing process improvements and scalability initiativesQualifications
Qualified Accountant either ACA or ACCAJoint Venture experience for a minimum of 5 years, to include the analysis of legal documentation relating to accountingExperience with the full cycle of Accounting i.e. everything from the initial recording of a business transaction, to the preparation of the financial statementsTechnical knowledge in US GAAP, IFRS and UK GAAPSeniority level
