Main Purpose and ResponsibilitiesWithin EPO Finance, you will be part of the Accounting Policy Group (APG), responsible for:

Providing technical accounting advice for MUFG EMEA and International entities

Partnering with Front Office to advise on accounting implications of their business activities

Advising on accounting policies for new products, deals, restructurings, and complex transactions

Training staff on accounting developments

Engaging with external auditors on policy matters

Issuing IFRS accounting policies

Advising on accounting and classification for consolidation reporting under IFRS, UK, US, and Japanese GAAP

Reviewing disclosures and supporting Financial Reporting teams in preparing financial statements

Representing the Group in industry groups and participating in ad-hoc projects

Technical Capabilities

Providing technical advice across EMEA and International Business units based on relevant GAAP

Managing conflicting priorities and re-prioritizing work effectively

Building effective relationships within and outside Finance

Communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders

Stakeholder Relationships

Maintaining and enhancing relationships with regional and global stakeholders

Sharing best practices and supporting local policies aligned with MUFG’s strategy
