About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you''ll work closely with students with PMLD, supporting their learning, communication, and personal development. You''ll be part of a nurturing team that values patience, creativity, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Use specialist equipment and communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton)
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or complex needs
- A caring and empathetic nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
